Lahaina’s historic banyan tree sprouts first new leaves since wildfires

The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources posted a video showing bright green leaves against the rest of the badly charred tree.

Number of missing after Maui wildfire drops to 66

The announcement comes on the one-month commemoration of the wildfire, which killed at least 115 people and displaced thousands more.
